Welcome to Little Star Playschool

Little Star Playschool is a registered playschool in Upper Claremont, Cape Town, for children aged 18 months to 5 years. Since January 2010, we've offered local families a warm, loving environment where children learn through play, explore new ideas and grow in confidence.

We're tucked away in Upper Claremont, a few minutes from Newlands, Bishopscourt and Kenilworth, so many of our families come from the surrounding southern suburbs.

Our programme supports early learning and prepares children for Grade R. Children stay with us until the end of Grade N, so they feel ready for their next step in school.

Cindy Lindsay and her husband founded Little Star to meet the need for a professional, high-quality playschool in the area, and they continue to serve as the school's governors. Together with our teaching team, they're committed to giving children caring, professional support during these important early years.

We follow mainstream teaching principles and help children build the skills and confidence they need for "big school", while keeping learning fun through play. We share premises with the School of Practical Philosophy, with each organisation in its own dedicated area.
