The Little Star Playschool Curriculum
The Little Star Playschool curriculum and content has been developed and refined over a number of years. Each year fresh ideas and themes are added!
Through the course of the year we cover a series of themes in many aspects of our daily routine. We also explore a variety of arts and crafts mediums and we ensure our play and activities cover the necessary developmental concepts appropriate for children between the ages of 20 months to 5 years old.
Typical Daily Routine
Hippo Class
20 months – 2½ year olds
- 07:15 Teachers arrive
- 07:45 Gates open for drop off – free play
- 08:45 Bell rings and gate closes (Nappy check and toilet routine)
- 09:00 Morning ring
- 09:15 Creative art and skill building activities
- 09:45 Tidy time an quick run outside
- 10:00 Snack time (Nappy check and toilet routine)
- 10:45 Music and movement ring
- 11:00 Outside play
- 11:30 Pack away time
- 11:45 Story time
- 12:00 Early pick up
- 12:15 Activity table
- 12:30 Home time
Elephant Class
2½-3½ year olds
- 07:15 Teachers arrive

3½ – 5 year olds

- Fridays we end school early at 12:00pm for all classes as the children are tired by the end of the week. However for parents who can only collect at 12:30pm are still welcome to still do so. Children will be cared for and entertained by staff until you arrive.

Extra-curricular classes
There are various extra-curricular activities available as optional extras for children at Little Star Playschool. These classes are offered for different groups of children at the school during the mornings and are charged directly by the external service provider.
